Rolex GMT Master ref. 1675 MK I "Fuchsia"
A longtime darling of the vintage Rolex world, it’s easy to see why collectors love the fuchsia GMT. The color just pops; no two ways about it. This particular example is preserved in outstanding all original condition with a super bright insert. The entire watch dates to 1968 which is the correct range for fuchsia and Mk 1 long E dial. The case is thick with strong chamfers. The 7206/80 bracelet is tight and long, fitting up to an 8 inch wrist. The dial is in fantastic condition with some aging to the luminous material but is free from any scratches or damage. There is some scratching to the crystal but I chose to leave it original. It can be replaced with a NOS crystal upon buyer’s request. There is aging to the luminous material in the hands but they are all original. The star of the show is really the fuchsia insert, which is one of the nicest I’ve handled. It’s bright and shows just the right amount of fade to the blue half to give it some character. Yet it remains scratch free and is really just a sight to behold. This is an overall outstanding, honest example that I am very pleased to offer for sale.
