Cartier’s mystique has always surrounded their mastery of shapes. Whether it be the crash or the pebble they perennially produce designs that captivate collectors. This is no more evident than in their Baignoire. With it’s curved case and crystal it has so much charm and eye appeal.

All Baignoires are special, but we think this one is particularly so. Here we have a ref. 78094 Baignoire “Joaillerie”. This watch is exceedingly rare. It features two rows of diamonds to the stepped case, a special two-tone gold dial and to top it all off a diamond crown. Oh and we forgot to mention it comes on its original 18k grain de riz bracelet. It’s hard to describe the beauty of this dial. The body of the dial sports a satin brushed finish while the outer track is a more polished gold that contrasts beautifully as it catches the light. The odd hours all feature diamond markers. The secret signature, most often found at 7 o’clock, is seen at 10 here. The watch is cased in solid 18k yellow gold and is powered by a Cartier signed 78-1 manual wind movement. The watch measured 32 x 22mm and the bracelet will fit up to a 6.5’ inch wrist. This is a true gem of a Baignoire; the crown jewel of any vintage Cartier collection.
